Pretty common in women these days. As humans we have all grown bigger over the last 100 years.

I spotted a Victorian dress on eBay the other day, on the label it read size 12 which in today's sizing roughly would be a 8-10 judging by the measurements given on the auction. Amazing we have changed like that.
