Forgot to say you did well to notice that my watch was Russian, very few people notice it.Do you think you'll get to Sennybridge more often?.

Ah, I'm looking at joining, my associated club is in a bit of a pickle at the moment and we've lost all out MoD range days until the issues are sorted. I'm going out of my mind and know that Offas usually shoot beside us when we're out, so looking at joining up with them. :)

Go for it mate, be good to see you there . I must admit I have only shot at Sennybridge since I've been a member as it is the nearest field-fire range to me.....Although I would like to go down to Salisbury Plain one of the days but the shoots always seem to fall on the Saturday after I've been on afternoons, so I don't finish work until 11pm on the Friday night and I have to be up for at least 5am to get everthing sorted and get going.Last Saturday was the same....by the time I get to Leominster on the way home I'm ready for my bed!!!.

That Mosin I had a go of was great Snayperskaya, not as much recoil as anticipated. Been doing some thinking and reading lately, care to fill in the details regarding that Mosin of yours I shot? Which factory was it made in, what year, what model etc.

It is a 1939 Izhevsk Arsenal M91/30 which was the standard Red Army infantry rifle during WW2 and has all matching serial numbers but has been Arsenal refurbed (1st GRAU Arsenal, Balakleya, Ukraine) into a Tula stock, which is quite common, but it still has the original serial numbered steel buttplate that matches everything else.

My 1926 Izhevsk ex-Dragoon has matching numbers with the exception of the magazine floorplate which is force matched but it has no Arsenal refurb marks on either the receiver or barrel shank, which is unusual as the vast majority have been Arsenal refurbed and stamped, but it does have a wartime production stock that has got an Arsenal refurb mark (1st GRAU Arsenal, Balakleya, Ukraine, this seems to be one of the most commonly found refurb Arsenal mark and is a square with a diagonal line inside it)

And don't forget that it is actually pronounced MO-seen Nah-GON or simply MO-seena (the Russian's never use the Nagant bit!)
