Scoping a Martini International

#1 Post by ukrifleman »

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced scope (sub £100) for my Mk1 Martini International?

I will shooting out to a max of 100m.

Fox Firearms do an 8-32 Chinese jobby for £125. I've got one on my Martini 22

Many thanks for the info.

Could you tell me what sort of mounting set-up you use and what height scope rings?

I had planned to use a 150mm picantiny rail fixed to the rear mounting block on the barrel.

I'm using the dovetail block on the barrel for the front scope mount (cheap Sportsmatch) then I've drilled and tapped the receiver for a rear scope ring which I milled flat to match the height of the front one and attached it with a 5mm screw.

You'd probably get away with your idea if you prop up the back of the rail on the receiver.

These are excellent. They're not cheap, but they are superb quality.
