The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like................victory. Someday this war's gonna end...

I've never seen Apocalypse now. :oops:

My fav has still got to be Kubricks 'Full metal jacket'.

Not a bad film that one, but one thing cracks me up every time I see it. When they're in training and doubling as a squad around the camp they pass an out of place looking wooden fence outside a building. Anyone who did their basic at Bassingbourne Infantry Depot in Cambridgeshire where it was filmed will tell you that the fence is hiding two red phone boxes - sort of spoils the illusion!

and the road markings are still set for us lefties! even though they put the stop signs in the right place!

and the rifle range scene was shot at Barton road range just outside Cambridge. :lol:
