Not heard of that Brand.
I bought from Winterfield Safes (no affiliation) and would highly recommend them. http://www.winterfieldsafes.co.uk/gun-c ... inets.html
Again always best to buy bigger than you think you will need.

Re: Advice on rifle safe
My advice is to buy a large dedicated ammo safe and a 10-20 gun safe and bolt them together. The built in top boxes are only useful for storing other safe keys and bolts after a while, you'll soon run out of space for ammo. I bought a 10 gun safe and wished I bought bigger... Considering the price of one scope can dwarf the price of a large gun cabinet, my advice is don't scrimp on the safe!

Re: Advice on rifle safe
Cabinet is built to British standard ... But is not certified unlike the Bratton Sound and some others key brands.
Would you want a car built to a 5 star crash raining in an accident or one which has been actually tested ?
Something to possibly consider if you are conscious of safety ?

My FEO was just concerned it was 2mm thick and a few other features were present, he said it didn't have to be "approved," it just needed to be the same standard.
Re: Advice on rifle safe
I've just been hunting around the web and it's difficult to find a safe > 10 rifles. If I was buying again, I'd probably go for this -->
Cross bolt locking mechanism
New keypad design
Tri-Spoke handle
Black colour
Internal ammo store
2mm Wall / 5mm Door
Supplied with fastening bolts
Removable shelf
Moulded gun rack
Carpeted interior
Dimensions: 450 x 380 x 1500mm

The widest I found that would fit the space I had was the Westlander safes

Having 10 Brattonsound safes at home I might be a bit biased razz
Re: Advice on rifle safe
Well I have a load of amazon vouchers to spend hence trying to find something from that vendor, I agree with the remarks to buy bigger than you need. I just measured my wardrobe that this will be fitted into (has solid back wall), and this cabinet will be too tall!! I am going to find one without an ammo safe that is BS certified.
This one looks ok

Re: Advice on rifle safe
Thanks for the advise here, that cabinet is a tad too tall for where I plan to install but I am looking for a BS (police approved) design now.Pesty wrote:Looks good. Looks identical to mine but with upgraded locks.
This is mine. Which I bought cheaper from eBay
https://www.amazon.co.uk/GDK-CABINET-X- ... NVB95FK29E
Pros
it passed police inspection no problem
It's gonna be plenty big enough for 3 but I find it a huge faf to get large scoped riffles in. I can't see it holding 6 without a lot of swearing but I guess they are all like that
Cons
Two keys is a pain in the ass mine is hard to lock you have to,lean hard on the door, but that mostly happened when I extra bolted it in.
Mine had 4 holes for fixing and it felt like I could just pull it from the wall. I drilled four more larger holes ( probably didn't need it) and chemicals bonded threaded bar into the wall. Good news is it was hard as hell to drill through
Oh and check which way you want the door opening mine opens the wrong way which I ordered in purpose to make it hard to get a crow bar in but wish I hadn't.
Re: Advice on rifle safe
