The Wyatt Earp/Buntline story has no basis in fact and was likely fabricated by Earp himself to add a little spice to his biography "Wyatt Earp - Frontier Marshall" in the 1920's. The revolver in the photograph is a modern version and at the price quoted could be the one used in the movie Tombstone
