Posting of negative comments in the Gunshop section could bring unwanted criticism on the forum, having said that it is important to let members know if dealings with a Gunshop were less than ideal for you. To that end we will allow what will be known as the 'Scotsgun Ruling'

The Scotsgun Ruling:

>Add Gun Shop here<

"As I've yet to have a 'positive' experience there, I'll refrain from commenting further."

Beyond that please take it up with the Gunshop, if you do resolve the issue in a agreeable manner let us know!

RCBS service with a :)

#1 Post by Gazoo »

Hello everyone. I have to share this with all you shootists out there.
I recently picked up a couple of presses off the forum from a deceased gentleman's estate, a Dillon RL 450 and an RCBS Piggyback 2.
I was really only after the Dillon as I used to have one back in the day and happily crunched out thousands of 45 ACP and 9mm, then got rid when the great gun grab happened.
Anyhoo, happy to get Dillon back but always like to acquire more RCBS which is my fav for loading gear in general.
So looking for lots of little RCBS Piggyback bits lost in storage so I can start using it proved fruitless -went directly to source -RCBS Tech dept.
my letter:
Hello,
could you please advise me if you have these parts for a piggyback 2 press and cost , sent to UK.
88004 ram adaptor
88795 powder drop pistol
88729 case detection spring
88016 primer disp bar L
09581 primer tube L
09582 primer tube S
88044 primer dispenser S
88045 primer dispenser L
kind regards
Gary
Their reply 3 days later:

It's not the first time I've heard of their exemplary service and it's another reason to buy RCBS IMO. Good on them!

Usually an excellent company for after sales support, just don't buy a Chargemaster, no support out of warranty, treated as a throw away item!

I'd imagine their sealed units and there's nothing an end-user could replace in them anyway... At a guess, I suspect the other companies are the same.

I have also found RCBS superb, probably better than Redding.

Surprised at the Chargemaster comment, we have been running one for years without issues and will be adding a second unit at some point for a greater throughput and I know of two places running multiple CM's one with a row of four and the other with around a dozen in use.

Not having a go at the Chargemaster as a product but once out of warranty there's no support at all, it's just tough luck, buy another one. Which is at complete odds with any of their other products.

Had a faulty Chargemaster completely replaced by RCBS with only a nominal charge levied to cover part of the international shipping cost.
The replacement has been perfect....no complaints on their attitude to chargemasters from me.
