M&P 15-22 with short/12" barrels from new

#1 Post by Blackstuff »

Hello all,

As per usual I've fallen victim of my terrible memory. I THINK someone mentioned on here that there's an RFD/gunsmith that sells new S&W M&p 15-22's with shortened barrels (they did the work themselves). Does anyone know who it was who does this, or have I just imagined the whole thing 5mith lol

Also, can anyone tell me the internal diameter of the standard picatinny hand guard please?

It was Neal at Suffolk Rifle....

I'll try and measure it later after I give up fighting with a newly acquired item!
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Bah! :bad: I think I know someone else who could do it though so not an entire loss.

Thanks Sim that would be most appreciated. I'm hoping a Wildcat Whisper mod will fit under it fingerscrossed

Also can anyone confirm that the buffer on the M&P is definitely 'mil-spec' diameter (as opposed to 'commercial')

Cheers

Yep, it's mil-spec and a mate has a Wildcat that he uses on his into the handguard...

I got my 12" barrel M&P 15-22 from Riflecraft, it adds about £90 to the cost of a new rifle.
