the other interesting thing i found out is that both my mates full-length Bremmers don't like black dog aftermarket mags. they both bought aftermarket BDs a while back and won't cycle with 'em. however, the two that came with mine work well, but again don't work in both their full-length versions. i tried their BDs in mine and they worked fine?!? is there a difference between the carbine and full-length versions then??

That's all you need, it soaks in to the metal and then you're good-2-go.

There are different generation BD mags out there, perhaps that explains it.

Can someone who has a magazine with the M261 mag insert in a USGI mag, tell me if a standard .22RF AR-15 like a CMMG, a Spikes Tactical ST-22 or a LanTac can use these mags with a normal .22RF bolt please? I've been told no, but I'd appreciate it if someone could confirm if this is correct please.

10-rd magazine inserts are available new for about $16
where from mate? and will they ship to the UK?
Numrich Arms. No.

The M261 inserts work well in 20-rd magazines...which was handy as some of my older VN-era Colt mags were beyond use in a .223 as the feed-lips were out of spec.; the inserts fitted easily & the 20-rd magazines look much better than the 30-rd models.

I'm sort of tempted to get some of the RG SA80 junk magazines & chop them to 20-rd size...be the first time they were of any use in a rifle.
