Sak mods - is thread size marked ?

#1 Post by breacher »

I know they come in 2 thread sizes but is there a marking to indicate which thread size ?

Is it a case that you have the mod already and don't know the thread size?

Yes.

I could have sworn they were marked but mine is not.

Post a picture of the thread and I'll probably be able to tell you which one it is...

The one I used to have wasn't but there's been a few versions over the years.

Most moderators I have seen don't list the thread on the unit itself. The only one I own which has a thread label is the Hausken SK156, but that is because they sell it in two parts: the main unit and an adapter nut. The nut is labelled, not the body.

No, mine isn't. Caused me to look at my other two rimfire mods, Bugger & Thomet and A-tec and neither of them are so marked. However, my Wildcat Evolution and Sonic 45 full bore moderators are....

Wildcat moderators are marked and now colour coded. The .22 versions have a purple end  Can't wait to put that on my new gun(!) A Freudian psychologist would have a field day lol

Now that's a coincidence! I am on my way to fetch a Brugger and Thomet and an A-TEC moderator right now!
