If you aren't desperate for it right NOW! then I could part with the one on my g36... as I wanted a different one on mine and even thought of shortening the barrel a bit so I could pop an airsoft one back on.

Not desperate for it so thanks for the generous off, would love it! Does it have the right thread pitch though? I've not found any on the websites I've looked at that have the 1/2x28 pitch?

Have a look at ASE Utra Oy out of Finland. While primarily a suppressor maker, they make a few brakes and flash eliminators, and you can add a suppressor later, if you want.

I goggled my gun. Walther g36 and it says it is that thread. I can always whip it off and see. As rugers are that thread aren't they?

There isn't a single thread on 10/22's unfortunately, they could be 1/2 x 28, 1/2 UNF or 1/2 UNEF
Will have a look Dave B, but I suspect they'll be quite bit more than I'm willing to pay for a gun tart piece!

I think factory threaded 10/22s are all 1/2UNF (20tpi). Can't say what after market barrels or threading could be.
Most 22RFs would be UNF but the 22lr fullbore-look-a-likes could well be UNEF or some metric thread, but most of the AR style I've seen are UNEF like their bigger brothers.

They aren't cheap - but then what is these days. I think I paid NZ$100 for mine. But as I said the beauty of them is that they form the QD mount for a suppressor.Blackstuff wrote:

Re: Intersting muzzle brakes which fit stand AR thread pitch
Call me an old codger, but why would anyone need a muzzle brake on a .22?
I could understand the need for a sound moderator for hunting purposes, but a muzzle brake must be as useful as teats on a bull.
I must be getting old and decidedly out of touch.
