Looking for S&B LR primers, South East

#1 Post by rox »

I'm looking for a source of Sellier & Bellot LR primers in the South East (preferably Surrey/Hants/Berks). I just need a few hundred for testing, so not worth paying for specialist shipping. Does anyone know someone who stocks these?

Thanks!

Andy Allwood at Bracknell claims to stock them on his website.

Got my last lot from the range office at the NSC Bob.

Magtech are worth a look as well if you can get them.

Thanks for the replies.

Andy Allwood has some (had already tried NRA shop).

However, I'd chosen S&B on advice that they were silver coloured (essential that they colour coordinate), but it seems that may be wrong. Can anyone confirm that S&B primers are always brass coloured, or have they been seen in silver (nickel plated)?

Thanks again!..

What colour they are ! Pah, you'll be powder-coating them next.

And there was I thinking you might be experimenting to find a better primer for your load development.

It's not for aesthetic purposes, but serves a very useful purpose to distinguish factory loaded brass from reloaded. There's an element of tuning involved too, and I'm familiar with the tests you linked.

Would certainly be interested, if it's not too much trouble; thanks!
I'm starting to think my chances of finding cheap, good & available LR primers in silver finish are slim-to-nil.
