getting there slowly slowly
This is everything layed up, including a proper mod not the plastic one which comes with it... very happy with how it all fits

It's getting there and I quite like it :)
I have been thinking of getting in some white Cerakote for Arctic camo jobs and if all else fails I can always do one of my rifles...

Not ruined, it would look used as it should be :)Blackstuff wrote:I've been wanting to make a 'stormtrooper' gun for a while now. I just can't decide which one to do as all of my 'practical' guns would be dirty within days and ruin the white finish

Thanks chaps!
Yes I can't wait to get this one out and dirty, being a 'zombie' gun it needs a bit of roughing up!
I just did it with Krylon so it should wear quite nicely... much better than the nasty HTA finish it came with :)

Hello cheeky
ALL bolted together and a vortex 1-4 mounted on top
The rail isn't totally fixed yet as I need to fettle the barrel mount a bit more.
Also need to fit the extended mag release at some point
Might add a tiny bit of lead in the back end to balance it as well and definitely need to finesse the trigger

Actually got to shoot it today, its glorious although the 1-4x will take a bit of getting used to! But then this is a gun for steel not precise paperwork.
I got a couple of the 15rnd ruger mags and initially had a lot of issues with eley edge, they kept jamming before seating properly so the bolt didn't close the last 1/2" or so.
Switched out to some filthy greasy SK (literally sold in a bean can) and it loved it!
The older worn in 10rnd mag seemed to like any ammo through it.
Accuracy wise I was standing at 25 and shooting (very) quickly I could do about a 4" group (amazing) but I'll go back and try some real groups soon
