New Purchase Number Two!
So I had a tip off about a beautiful Uberti .357 at a gunsmiths locally. My friend who knows the seller took me to see him last Friday and I agreed to purchase the Uberti (see different post in fullbore section). After also getting a good deal on ammunition, The gunsmith asked if there was anything else I needed so I showed him my FAC and jokingly said, "Depends if you've got anything else on my list!"
He went back to the gun room and came back with the little lovely - a Marlin Golden 39A in .22, very good condition, nice patina, been well looked after and he even put the bore scope down the barrel so I could see how clean it was. Needless to say I am now the very proud owner of not one but two lever actions!!

What's the first three letters or numbers of the serial number. I'll give you the year of manufacture.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Nice little .22, used one like it for Chopwell & Blanchland bunny bashing evenings.

Blimey that's nearly as old as me. Wish I'd weathered the years so well.Sim G wrote:1965 vintage.
