I had the Vostock .22 too. I remember it was a real bargain. Came in a lovely wooden partitioned and lined case with all manner of bits and bobs, balance weights, spare mag, sights, tools and such. I think I paid about £50 for it at the time (1986). Lovely little shooter.

It'd be a pity to bugger up such a brilliant simple design..........I'd rather go live somewhere where I could have and shoot an original..........

Once Sec 5 always sec 5.snayperskaya wrote: What would be the legal position of getting a .22lr Margolin modified to comply with the LBP law?.....a bit sacrilegious but would it be doable by a Sec5 RFD and then put on Sec1?.Or would it be a case that it would always be sec5?.

Yep, I had those 3, along with a Glock 17, Wather PPk (.32 acp), Pardini .22 UIT pistol, and an Erma .22 "Colt Commander" that i planned to teach the kids to shoot with...

I lost...
45acp 1911A1 Remington
45acp Star PD
S&W Mod 66 357
S&W Mod 60 38 Sp
Ruger Blackhawk S/A 45ACP/45Colt
S&W 1917 455 Webley
S&W Mod 17 22 RF
LLama 9mm Semi Auto
Luger 9mm
Vostock 22 RF
The Vostock turned out to have an interesting history.
After Dunblane I had a visit from the Police, they mentioned that the Vostock Pistol I owned was also listed as being owned by Thomas Hamilton. I was able to prove I had bought it from a Glasgow Gun Dealer as a new Pistol. They went away and I never found out the story until much later.
Turned out Hamilton had bought the Vostock then took it back and exchanged it for a different Pistol but neither he nor the Gun Dealer had bothered to notify the Police.
