Indoor range, splashback curtains.
All
We have an indoor rage used for .22 rimfire and airguns. 25m prone and 20m standing.
The current splashback is looking pretty tattered and I looking to replace it.
Any advice on materials or sources appreciated. In the past we've mainly used carpet and underlay remenants, but what about Ruac or Linatex?
What do you think?

These guys are new on the scene, a cheaper alternative to Linatex, rolls are 10m long 1.4m wide and it’s £833+VAT

A few layers of denim ought to suffice
Re: Indoor range, splashback curtains.
If you can separate the lanes you're using for air and rimfire it would be helpful, but if not there are always curtains or catchers you can place in front of the Linatex for air usage. We have two lanes in our prone range that don't have linatex so are cleared for airguns and our LWR range uses a shaped catcher (no splashback material) so ok for air.
I've never personally seen pellets rebound off Linatex, but there must be a reason everyone employs separate measures!

We use linatex and we have a steel sheet on a stand that's wheeled in front of the linatex for air rifles.

We use Linatex and run sheets of plastic hung on a wire strung across the front of the back stop, looks like shower curtains, to stop the air pellets and other low power projectiles bouncing back. The pffftt dingers pull them into place when they are popping away and then they get pulled to the side out of the way when the real shooters get going.

Re: Indoor range, splashback curtains.
A few years ago now, when the local range allowed it, I was shooting alongside an air rifle shooter. His pellets rebounded from the linatex and came back, some through the hatch, at what seemed like the same speed they left the muzzle.Kungfugerbil wrote:

The practice was soon stopped.

It's not uncommon to find squashed pellets near the firing point at our range.
