Drop Practical Shooting Supplies a line and I'm sure they'll let you know, they're a good bunch!
Their website says 'Mobil or Slug' but that means nothing to me

Re: Adler lever action
Did they thread it for chokes when they shortened it?
Re: Adler lever action
Wasnt someone else supposed to be bringing in the shorter models? I thought part of the appeal was they could be less than 24 inches with the barrels?BamBam wrote:Did they thread it for chokes when they shortened it?

Re: Adler lever action
PSS have said they will be bringing in sub 24" barrels but it'll be the back end of this year at the earliest
Don't think any of them have been 'shortened', AFAIK they're manufactured as multi-choke barrels from the factory

Re: Adler lever action
Hobbesy, have you got one of these?, I like my underlever rifles but have been put off the Adler by reviews of the action being very notchy/stiff/clunky to use repeatedly?
There's room for all Gods creatures, next to the mash and gravy :)

Nope, the barrel was too thin to be threaded for chokesBamBam wrote:Did they thread it for chokes when they shortened it?

Re: Adler lever action
I own a 18" Adler and I love it, shot 100 rounds of slug the other day and it never missed a beat. I did have a 11 shot extension and it seemed the rounds wouldn't all load with the Adler spring. I put a Nordic 2 shot extension, spring and follower and it loads like a dream. The only issue I had was the barrel gets bloody hot and you can't get a heat shield for it.

Saw the pic you posted on FB, looks badass!
I'd like one, but would like to keep 8+1 for manual division psg

Re: Adler lever action
If/when the shorter (factory) barrels come out I'm hoping to get a 18" or less barrel and a 24" barrel with an equal length magazine for the 18" barrel and a slightly longer one for the 24".
Remember; just because there's a 9 cartridge pre-start limit for IPSC standard manual it doesn't mean you can't have a greater capacity. That way if there's any time before you have to engage the first target(s) you can jam more ammo in it once the buzzer goes. This is now a fairly standard practice/set up in manual and standard divisions. 9+1 is the minimum you want though as if its an Option 2 starting condition you can have 9 in the magazine (chamber empty), rather than limiting yourself to 8 (for IPSC rules PSG any way).
