I just finished "Closely Watched Trains" by Bohous Hrabal & loved it so much that I started "I Served the King of England" .
His writting is 101% pure genious. In a warped way, similar to LF Celine, my all time fav author but with some naughtiness thrown in for good measure :good:

Anything free on Kindle unlimited. Just finished the DCI Ryan series and now reading some crime type novels set in Lincolnshire. It is odd in that until I had a Kindle I couldhappily take 5 years between novels, now I find them strangely adictive and read for about 15-20 minutes once I am in bed.

Just finished American Rust by Philipp Meyer, excellent read. His other novel The Son is also quite good.

For an excellent SciFi dystopia tey: The Water Knife by Paolo Bacigalupi

For non fiction Jared Diamond's Collapse and Guns Germs and Steel are both excellent.
