.22 practical
Recieved a phone call to day I have been asked if I want to shoot .22 practical on Sunday morning.
I have no idea what .22 practical is but I will give it a go. It will be on a outdoor range.
Any idea what the course of fire is likely to be I guess its shot using a .22 semi auto.
Apparently club guns are available and ammo wil be available.

Don't know but I was thinking of popping along too. The club guns will be the 10/22s I'm sure.
Do you know what time they are starting?
The track down will be muddy after the recent rain!

09:00 hours. I believe.
I have never been there before so no guarantee I wont get lost and miss the whole thing.

Basically lots of running about and shouting "Pew, Pew, Pew, Pew" etc. :)
There's room for all Gods creatures, next to the mash and gravy :)
Re: .22 practical
Not sure about that then I don't do running about at 65 years old 66 years old next month. I'm shooting at 500 yards to morrow so a busy week end.

Alpha, one of my club members is in his 70s and takes part in practical mini rifle so you should be fine. You don't NEED to do everything at speed, just make sure everything you do is safe.
Re: .22 practical
Having been to that range, I don't believe there will be much in the way of running around at all.
Being in your sixties is positively middle aged for most shooting events

Awesome sport. My favourite really.
Re: .22 practical
Well I got there its a bit of a hike you need a good 4x4 to access it by car.
There was not to mutch running about the courses of fire were interesting I had problems with the sitting and phrone positions. Shooting through holes at falling plates.
But all in all it was a good day. Lots of tricked ruger .22 semi autos with red dots. Quite a few black plastic jobbies dont know the models as they are foreign to me.
Did it make me want to rush out and buy a .22 semi auto. May be we will see. Will I go again probably it would be rude not to.
