Thanks for the offer Mr safety, much appreciated but I've just ordered upper and lower blocks and a wrench so should be good to go shortly.safetyfirst wrote:Happy to post you an upper receiver clamp and flash hider wrench if you'd like to borrow one.

Re: CMMG .22 bird cage
I've taken the bird cage off by just inserting empty mag for stability in the magwell and then holding the rifle between my legs. Did 3 rifles like that when squad mates wanted to fit the muzzle brakes they had just bought at the Pro-Am. No vice available when you're working on the tailgate of a rented SUV.Rarms wrote:Either upper receiver clamp or barrel clamp.
Wouldn't be wanting to apply pressure to the mag well or mar the finish on the barrel with something else. It will be tight though as has been said so that it is timed correctly.
Re: Dedicated AR Section
CMMG .22 at the moment but soon to have a .223 upper for it if things work out
BTW...I got the birdcage off but the mod I had in stock doesn't fit, anyone know the thread size?

Oi, cheeky! ..... Moving my post from the AR section.
Now only half of my post makes sense.
