Sell it so the 15-22 mags purchased to solve the initial problem will fit without the plastic shims? That sounds the way forwardNelly2014 wrote:Or sell the bloody thing and get a 15-22Airbrush wrote:Bin them & get 15-22 mags & Catch 22 bolt hold open lever, you can thank me later.

I've got a sneaky feeling this dry lube stuff will work miracles

Why not ask them directly for a solution? Shame the sods into putting things right.Gazza wrote:I've got a sneaky feeling this dry lube stuff will work miracles

Miracles I dunno, but much better than wet lube which will just get gunked up.Gazza wrote:I've got a sneaky feeling this dry lube stuff will work miracles
There were 3 generations of CMMG mag, the first mags are basically black dog mags with a GI mag shape, the Evo mags came next and they were supposed to work with the BHO. Then they released the Gen 3 mag, a bit pmag in appearance and supposed to work with the BHO. Worse than even the evo mags
It's quite telling that CMMG only sell the first gen mags and stopped selling the BHO.
I use S&W 15-22 mags and a Better Mag adapter, that way I don't need spacers, got a 15-22 too so need the mags to work on either rifle and can still swap uppers.

These are what I've got https://riflemags.co.uk/cmmg-25-round-2 ... e-ar15-22/
Are these Gen 3 or Evo?

Re: CMMG AR15 mag binding woes
Those are gen 1, not compatible with the BHO.
Re: CMMG AR15 mag binding woes
So do new CMMG's come with the old style mags now instead of the newer types?
BTW my bolt stays open on the last round.

Lube, inside magazines?? Unless they have metal followers I'd never do it, and even then i'd be looking at a light sprinkling of graphite powder at best.
Have you checked the magazine body for dings/burrs etc? And is it the same with all your mags? Or are you going to make be pass out and you only have the one
