Re: Chapel Bay Fort and Museum
I've walked passed it a few times when on holiday in Pembrokeshire and two years ago I managed to visit it. I didn't get to do the full tour as I had a female friend with me at the time. We were doing the circular walk, starting from Angle Bay West going passed Chapel Bay Fort and returning through Angle Village. The whole area is historically interesting with various forts, some date back to Henry VIII's time.

Worth a visit in north Devon
Just spent a fascinating morning here:

Loads of interesting military vehicles, small arms and artillery pieces.

I went there decades ago with a girlfriend - it was awesome and well worth the money.

That looks excellent. All crammed in, no signage and no push button experiences for the moronic youth of today. I like to browse and work things out for myself not have to see and hear things like video and audio "experiences".Racalman wrote:Just spent a fascinating morning here:

Was shocked when I last went to the science museum in London about 15 years ago, and how dumbed down it had become.

Re: Worth a visit in north Devon
It brought back a lot of good memories for me.
When I were a lad I collected and restored military radios which I sadly no longer have, but I found plenty here to drool over.
Also they have an FV 432 armoured vehicle, one of which I spent two weeks in during the 1980s, courtesy of the British Army in Germany.
