Yes that has already been established in this thread and Hodgdon have changed their tune on it over time, it is still a crap and expensive powder for muzzle loaders though in spite of them having developed their limited data parameters.

If you have a modern inline then it might be an option but if you have original or repro period muzzle loaders then Pyrodex is a far superior "substitute" if you refuse to use real black powder.

It was 2003 when I bought my first tub. I had been using BP, but that was banned on my indoor range for some reason, so I went to Pyrodex. One practice I had was after a shoot, I'd wipe everything over with a baby wipe before heading home. Cleaned the hands as well!

Anyway, one evening I was cleaning the revolver and because it had had such a good wipe over, I didn't clean the frame and barrel as I usually would. Went to the revolver a couple of weeks later and could barely see down the barrel!

The only thing that attracted me to Triple 7 in the first place was the ability to run it under a cold tap to clean up!

I picked it up at the Trafalgar I think, and got a load sheet and data with it.
