Hello from a rather Wet West Sussex

#1 Post by MotorRacingBruce1980 »

Hi Everyone,

New to the forum but not new to shooting.

I have been a member on other non shooting forums and thought there must be a shooting forum and Google helped me find you.

I'm now in my late 30's and have been shooting since I was 14. I have taken part in many disciplines including Plinking, Target, HFT, Clay, Game, Paintball and Airsoft.
I have been involved with Re-enactment of different era's and have owned many different types and makes of Rifle and Pistol. My knowledge might not be fantastic in all areas but I have always tried to learn as much as possible in everything I do and I like to pass on what I have learnt.

Hi. I guess you shoot .22 at the Worthing leisure centre then? Was thinking of joining too but just don't seem to be able to find the time of an evening! Own your own rifle fullbore / smallbore?

And what motor racing are you up to?!

Welcome!

I do shoot .22 and yes at Worthing Leisure centre. Its a friendly bunch but a shame its only open once a week. I've also shot at Ford Ranges and I have some land that I have permission but its quite small.

I have been involved in quite a few Motorsport areas. Sport 2000, Group N Rally, Formula Renault, SaxMax and Monoposto are the main ones but I was a lecturer for 4 years Teaching Motorsport Technology.

As I have only recently got my Licence I don't own many Rifles at the moment but I do have a CZ 452 Varmint TH and I have a slot for a Martini Henry on my certificate when I find the right one!

Back 20 yrs ago, the president was an amazingly nice dude with a beard who was holding an open house every friday night after shooting. He was restoring a DUKW amphibious vehicle as a hobby .
Is he still on the scene ?

I was shooting there in mid 90's and it was a guy called Mike that was running it then (don't think he had a beard though), he was and still is a nice chap and still shoots there now. I was only a teenager back then so I cant realy remember many people who were there back then.
