New member from Bedfordshire
Hi All,
Another newbie signed up. My name is Matt, I am based in Bedfordshire and I am about to become a member of a full bore club that shoots at Bisley. Currently I am an FAC holder for a pair of Brocock air pistols and I will be putting in for a variation in the next few months to be able to buy some form of .22LR, a lever action and two full bore rifles for club target shooting purposes. I am hoping to get some advice on what to apply for in terms of calibres and which brands/models of guns to go for. Prepare for yet more what gun threads!
Matt

Hello Matt .... welcome to FBUK!
Re: New member from Bedfordshire
Welcome from an ex Bedfordshire sort, we lived in mid Beds until three years ago. You are reasonably close to the Barton Road range which is just south of Cambridge so it would be worth considering Grove Smallarms club and BRPC which both shoot there. Membership for Grove is GBP55.00 PA from memory and gets you monthly outings at BR to 800/1000/1200 yards :)

Thank you Ovenpaa, I was not aware of that range or those clubs and it may prove useful in the future. However for the moment I think I will be sticking to my current club as the wife will go spare if I started taking more time out our weekends to do "gun stuff" rather than spending it with her and the little nipper.Ovenpaa wrote:Welcome from an ex Bedfordshire sort, we lived in mid Beds until three years ago.
