Are there any resources out there to work out when Swing rifles were made? There isn't much in the way of information out there that I can find and I've been wondering about this for a while. Mine is a Model 4 with a serial number in the 700s.
Cheers!

Re: Dating a Swing
Mines closer to 1500 than 1400. Will have a look for a proof mark date later, but I believe it's been re-barrelled at some point.
Careful now/that sort of thing
Re: Dating a Swing
Does that not only apply to the barrel? Mine has been changed recently so won't be of much help, unless there is a proof mark on the receiver or bolt etcglevum wrote:The proof marks will tell you the year it passed proof

Saw the thread title, presumed you were taking it out for dinner and needed advice on what to wear.
