P14 Restoration

#1 Post by Alpha1 »

I am restoring a P14 originally it had a Parker Hale adjustable rear sight fitted I have removed it and fitted the original sight, unfortunately, the threaded bit that the cross pin that holds the sight in place screws into is missing. It does not affect the usage of the sight has the ladder sight is under tension. I know it is a long shot but does anyone know where I could source one or does anyone know what the thread is so I can make one.
I'm also missing the screw that holds the front sling swivel on anyone know the thread or where I can source one. Other than that its all as the original.

They are an interesting rifle and easy enough to strip and work on. The one Im working on looks quite tidy now.
I found a guy in Germany who had the spare parts I needed they should be here next week then its finished.
It shoots qreat. I have a buyer waiting for it. More funds for my Ruger precision purchase.
teanews hm whats next.
