Thinking about getting one of these now as I fancy something different and want an England legal trainer in mind to getting into IPSC shooting in NI.

Ah right, for the heads-up. If I do get one I'll probably go down to the shop if possible and handle one then before deciding. Emailed Ron and he says there's a couple of models available, one like a 17 and another more like the 34 - both use Lother Walther barrels. I'm not expecting amazing quality given the price and being in the UK but we'll see. Thanks.

Well, I guess "history" means any time in the past, but I would have doubted that a handgun from 8 years ago was of "historic importance".

Are you allowed to shoot it? And if I've understood the rules, it, per se , is not a S7.3 firearm, i.e. if you anted to sell it the buyer would have to make the case all over again for it being 7.3 to him?

Playing D.A. I would say because it's too soon to say whether it will turn out to be of any historical importance whatsoever.

But hey - good luck to anybody who can legally own one. Is it not precarious, though? Can the powers that be just say, come renewal, that they don't think it's of historical interest?

I think they might be on shaky ground to say one day, "Yes that's of historical importance" and grant it as 7.3, and then x years later to change their minds. Once its done, its done.
