No Gunsmithing Mount For No. 5 - Jungle Carbine
Does anyone have a no gunsmith mount tat will fit and reliably hold zero for a number 5?
Suggestions on some to buy off the shelf.
I love my No. 5 but with the battle sights, I struggle to hold a 12" group at 100 yards, would like a mount to put a 4 or 6x scope on for plinking see if the rifle won't shoot or if it's the nut behind the butt.
Replies and Suggestions appreciated.

If you think you are a person of some importance, try ordering someone else's dog around.

Thanks Redcat, have seen these. Considering the short version from the same seller.
Wonder if anyone has experience of these ones?

Hello
They are excellent when fitted and tightened, its a really secure mount.
There are a couple of variants Long or short and Alloy or steel.

They brackets are OK, I would be more concerned about struggling to hold better than 12" at 100 yards. Given your experience you should be holding better than 4" off your elbows at that distance.

12" might be a bit of a stretch, but certainly about 8" group with PPU 174gr rested on a front rest. Wanna try a scope to see if it's a combination of the ammo and rifle, or if I'm just really bad with the (correct - to 800yd) battle sights that are on the No. 5.
Both me ad the wife grouped similarly with it 10 round groups.

No, only using FMJ at the moment, not reloading at all for 303.

It doesn't matter if you are not reloading for it. Its 30 minutes out of your life that will tell you what your bore is and whether or not you are wasting money buying PPU ammo.
