Berdan large rifle primers wanted

#1 Post by graphictart »

As per the title,
I have a load of once fired berdan 7.62x51 brass that I'd like to reload.
Does anyone have any berdan primers they are willing to part with?

All help appreciated.

HPS sell them and are hopefully bringing in the KV762N in their next shipment - I have a load of GP11 brass I'd like to reload!

Out of interest, how are you depriming yours?

Hiya,
I have a Prime Reloading Co Hydro Punch, its bit messy but gets the job done.
Not sure how I'd get to HPS and I'm not paying Hazmat postage for primers. I can get to Bisley easily enough though.

NSRA are an agent for HPS. I dont think primers can be sent to an individual at all as an FAC is required.

Hiya,
Just got off the phone to HPS, Tony you are correct.
They don't think they will have any for quite some time due to "BREXIT"
They did say that they will contact me when they get some and I can meet them at the NSRA building on camp.

So it looks like I'll have a long wait, it's not like im going shooting for a while anway.................thanks c19

I have reloaded berdan primed RG and MEN cases. I use the Prime Hydro punch to decap. It works OK most times but get the odd one that won't come out. I have picked up berdan primers at Bisley arms fairs and got some from a friend also. I got a few hundred of the big primers for .303 cases from a friend, but have not used any of those yet. I don't have the .303 nozzle for the Hydro punch, just 7.62mm and 9mm. I got 200 rounds of RG 7.62mm last year for £24 so the berdan reloading is on the back burner for now.
Regards
Peter.
