BSA small frame martini

#1 Post by FredB »

I have been looking for a cocking indicator for a Francotte type Martini for years. Mine is actually a Greener, but it is identical to the BSA type.

Fred, is that a small or large frame? I made one for a small frame a while ago however I just used a steel pin for the hinge instead of the split type pin BSA used. It works like this as the frame stops the indicator coming out.

Small frame David; it's the Greener Miniature Club.

Talking of small frame Martini's and sorry to side track the thread but: A several years ago I was at a range and a chap I know bought out a sweet little Martini - I've never seen one like it before. It was a .22lr sporting rifle with a flip up tang mounted peep sight (not a target type aperture) It was a take-down and fitted in a leather case. It was a lovely little thing but I'm sure the frame/action was slimmer than a 12 or 12/15. I really don't know if it was a BSA or Greener (or other).

Any ideas what it might have been?

the BSA Model 6 was Take down (From memory) however it is the normal narrow BSA receiver.

The Greener is the narrow action, same as a Model 6.
