Nothing wrong with, 28” o/u, hunting gun though I only shoot clays.
Now I’m in the market (eventually) for an o/u clay gun.
I’m not competitive, more than happy if I hit 30%, but I don’t want to be restricted by a gun, rather by myself.
I like modern looking, non-engraved guns, don’t really want to spend more than £1500 as it’s just for a bit of fun and time out of the house, other than that I’m open.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
John R

£1500 is in the ball park for an industry standard Beretta Silver Pigeon....
Fit the is the important thing. If you have a decent clay ground near you with a gun shop then go down there and give them your budget. They will find the right gun for you and most will let you try it on a pattern plate or even some clays.

I do have a local shoot, methyl don’t have a shop though. I’m pretty sure I can sort fitment though, happy enough with shooting to know what I like

I have one of these:

I was shocked to see how much they've increased in price. I paid £300 cash for a new one at the NEC (I think) not that many years ago.
I've not been disappointed.

Have a good look at teh Bettinsoli range https://www.bettinsoli.it/en/catalogo/p ... 1/226.aspx
UK importers RUAG https://www.ruag.co.uk/diamond-line-de- ... plate/p380
I have had a Diamond Line Deluxe for around 10 years and it has been excellent - have moved on to a William Powell, semi bespoke now and plan to move te Bettinsoli on at some time. Their Crypto Luxe has less engraving on.
