Hello from South Wales

#1 Post by j2112c »

I am a Big Fat Northern Lad from Kendal, Cumbria :flag13: living in South Wales :wales: for seven years and loving it.
Nice people, nice place, BUT.... does anyone here on this forum live this way or can recommend a full bore rifle club I can join to start as a complete beginner? :-P

There seem to be a few rim fire clubs and there is one over in Barry that is full cream.. but you need an FAC to join or know a current member to be seconded into it. Help! :cool2:

I thought I would try to get into a new sport / past time and so joined this forum for advice and company... a good forum with experienced people is worth its weight in gold (especially if UK based) so a big.. 'Hello and I hope I can in time contribute to the community..! All the best.'

Welcome to the forum John, you should be able to find out just about anything regarding shooting in the UK here and we just happen to have a resident South Wales shooter or two as well :good:

Just ask away, no question is too simple or too dim especially if you are new to the sport, and remember, we were all newbies once as well, well apart from a couple who have always been older that me  :run:

Welcome to the forum, John.

Rogiet is probably the best...near Severn Tunnel Station...100/200 yds full bore.

I'll pm you some numbers.

I also shoot at Sennibridge, but I've not been there this year due to ill health. I'm a member of Brecon Rifle Club.

Shoot 223rem, 308win, 357/38 and 44mag also 12G at Treetops...great for English Sporting.

Thank you for the warm welcome everyone, that is really neat.

Rob that is great, thank you for the number by PM, I am over in Aberdare, so close enough and I will hopefully meet up with you at some point.
I hope you are feeling better and that it is not anything too serious. :(
