New fourth round of covid jabs
Hello
Talking to one of our clubs elderly members and he has informed me that this week he was NHS invited to attend for a fourth covid jab, and did.
Have any forum members been offered or have had this, not seen any media coverage of this or have I missed it ?
Question if you are offered a fourth jab would you accept it.

Re: New fourth round of covid jabs
I haven't been offered a fourth jab, but if I am I'll probably go for it.
Re: New fourth round of covid jabs
I vaguely remember something about it (expect every 6 months until it gets rolled in properly with the yearly flu jab).
And yes, I will have it when it's available. I know people it's seriously messed up with Long Covid so I'd be silly not to take steps to minimise the impact of I catch it.
Same reason I've had any jabs required wherever I have needed them to travel.

From what I have read, fourth jabs are being offered to immunocompromised people.

Not heard anything - I will go for it though if offered. Just been through the worst cold I have ever had in my life, tested negative three times so it was a cold. It was dire two weeks in, now after 4 weeks I am more or less human again. Ovenpaa was the same however a week ahead of me.

I wish I'd invested in shares in the pharmaceutical and media industry - Covid is a licence to print money.

Re: New fourth round of covid jabs
I know someone who had the fourth jab before Xmas!
I currently have Covid (the tail end of it) and have had thankfully minimal symptoms, a bit of a cold last week. I haven't had any jabs and nor will I (until 2024 at the earliest unless the coercion gets too severe).
I know around 50 people that have had Covid and all but one have fully recovered (that poor sod has long covid and is busy spending his life savings on treatments that don't seem to be working having exhausted all of the public and private treatments available in this country).
On the other hand I know 6 people who have had serious side effects from the jab including 'temporary'* paralysis, acute and chronic hypertension and myocarditis. The risk/benefit balance is fairly strongly against me having the current jabs.
*They have been assured its temporary but one has been living with a 'dead' leg for around 9 months now.
