Re: School Rifle Ranges
Was sent this recently - apparently my ammo block is still in use. Why I had my own named ammo block is another question.

Mostyn House school in Parkgate.
Re: School Rifle Ranges
Slightly off topic, but one of the Shell HQ’s in London used to have a shooting range in the basement, as did Waterloo station at one point. I can clearly remember the shooting range under the West Pier in Brighton many years ago….

Bromsgrove club used to shoot 15yds under the pub in the cellar. Shot there many years ago but at the end of the evening we all had crooked necks from stooping.

Re: School Rifle Ranges
My friends and I all had air rifles. Our school didn't have a range, although my friends and I only had to step out of my back gate and we had this ...

London Transport used to have a very good range under the Baker Street Underground Station .
Seems it was also used by the SOE during WW2 .
Clarence Dock Power Station in Liverpool had a range underneath the main boilers , with a dock full of water only a few feet away from the firing points .
There was a Power Station north of Birmingham that had a range under the coal chutes .

I seem to remember reading many years ago that Bruce Dickinson the lead singer of Iron Maiden had hearing problems but not from stading onstage with a megawatt of speakers behind him but from his cadet days shooting 303's.

Kodak had a factory in Harrow, that had a 25m indoor range, and 100yrd outdoor range.
Vauxhall factory in Luton also has it's own range.
