A little job just finished. My old Dads bench vice refurbished to give to one of my daughters.. (She's a tech teacher at a high school)

One of mine looks possibly worse that the first picture! It still works but a little stiff - it will get clean up though,

Nothing new - just the old faces cleaned up, a fine file to clean up the checkering and skimmed a few blobs of weld of of them. The original plan was to turn them upside down but the screws didn't line up. However, in my new workshop I have 2 record vices to fit - one a woodworking one that goes under the worktop, and a 3 1/2" 2VS which has a rotary base. Both need installing. They cost me about £10 & £20 in the Record shop in teh Peak District (a few years back) and are both Made in England!
