I have bought the basic necessities for reloading .410g slugs for a pistol and am having some success in reloading these but now find I have a need for some reduced loads using shot that can be used inside buildings for dispatch work, I need a load that will breach the skull but not exit on foxes mainly, with the ability to up the load a little to maybe deal with small farm animals although I have been using 2” factory loads but can’t find anything smaller than 7 shot locally.
Anyone have a load with 9’s or dust shot they use for this purpose?
Cheers

Look to powder manufacturers data as a first port of call.

Hi Dromia,
I have looked but was unable to find any factory data on a substantially reduced humane dispatch load for the .410g specially one with a 6” barrel .
Cheers

If such loads have not been safely developed and pressure tested then 'tis folly to make them up.
