Ruger No 3 223

#1 Post by drone »

Don't use it much nowadays, lovely little gun. Iron sights, no scope or I can fit either a Zeiss Diavari 1.5x5 (or 6 forget which) or a redfield widefield 3x9 subject to negotiation.
Comes with a set of Lee dies - 4, plus brass. £275 without scope but with dies etc.
This gun hasn't read the crap on the internet that says it's inaccurate, I could shoot 3 shot 1" groups at 100 yards and I'm nearly 80. No recoil to speak of. Reasonable condition and not had a lot of rounds down the barrel. It's a mid 80s gun.

Always thought that the Ruger was a very pretty gun, and it isn't really a Barrel burner is it. And for £225 ..........
Took my Howa .223 out yesterday to sight it in with the new scope at 130yds. After getting some very nice groups I settled down to enjoy the warm sun and take in a bit of peace and quiet when a couple of Squirrels started running up and down the top of the fence on which I had hung my target. They were coming down out of the tree that was acting as my backstop but as the ground sloped steeply behind it, it was an option to have a go at these tree rats.
130yd Squirrels is very satisfying. bangbang shakeshout
