SLR or M14

#1 Post by James84 »

Hi all,

I am after a straight pull SLR or M14. Does anyone have one they are willing to sell?

Hello
M14 If there are any at reasonable cost, you will have to beat me to it.

I have only ever seen 1 M14 straight pull - my club owned one when I first joined. The chairman offered it to me for £2000 6 years ago as he knew I enjoyed shooting it but I had just bought another rifle. A different club member bought it and still has it, says he will never part with it.

yes they are few and far between... I am also considering a M1 Garand at this point, as they seem cheaper and come up more frequently

There's an M1 Garand in 30-06 on the Stalking Directory at the moment if you are a member over there.

I had a straightpull SLR years back, with early wood and rack number. Loved it as being a lefty is ideal for charging. I sold it on to get an M14 (this one that I EBR'd up) and very glad I did as I wanted something I could use further out.

Good luck deciding !!
