Gun spares disposal

#1 Post by Richo »

My old shooting mate (RFD) who pasted away a while back left a large gun collection behind and his widow (also RFD) has slowly been selling it off, we have come across around 15 old shotguns most of which are old and decrepit rusty and probably out of proof, plus around 10 rifles mostly .22" cal some in excellent condition.
She has tried to sell these via auction but there value is so low (estimated £25 max) the auction houses dont want to take them, so she has contacted the police with a view to have them taken away for disposal, this is happening on the 12th of this month.
I just wondered if anybody out there was interested in any spare parts before they get the chop!!
Listed below what rifles she has.

STEYR MANNLICHER SL, 222"
MOSSBERG MODEL MB42, 22" RIMFIRE
PARKER HALE SAFARI, 30.06"
PARKER HALE SAFARI, 222"
BSA SPORTSMAN 10, 22" RIMFIRE (THREE OF THESE)
ZBROUAKY HOLICE MODEL 22, 22" RIMFIRE
ZBROUAKY HOLICE MODEL KMS 622, 22" RIMFIRE
BRUNO MODEL 2E, 22" RIMFIRE
ANCHUTZ MODEL 520/61, 22" RIMFIRE
CZ 452-2E-ZKM, 22" RIMFIRE
The last four are in excellent condition, some even have scope mounts fitted, just seems a crying shame to see them all scrapped.
If anybody's interested send me a PM asap, these will be gone next Friday.
Cheers Ian

The four rimfires BRUNO, ANSCHUTZ MODEL 520/61, KBROUAKY HOLICE KM622 & KM22 are in excellent condition and she only wants £30 each without scopes £50 with scope, the CZ is scoped and fitted with a parker hale silencer, got to be a bargin for somebody wanting a rabbit basher on the cheap!!

The Steyr and 2x PH would likely sell on the Stalking Directory if advertised low enough. Less likelihood of selling the .22lr's if I'm honest.

Hi, i am not on the stalking Directory and times running out so not really an option, will probably just pull some parts from them and let the police scrap the remnants.

Hi Dellboy
Regards your reply, the guns are not mine so not in my possession hence the reason theres no photos, i placed the posting on behalf of my mates widow (rfd) who has to get rid of them by this Friday 12th), hence the very low price she wanted for them
I have removed some parts which i considered sellable at a later date but the four rimfires are complete and in very nice (2 look like nearly new) condition some have scopes and some are threaded for a silencer.
I intend to go see her one hour before the police appointment time and pull the scopes mags and anything else sellable from them, i dont want to let the police have more than is necessary.
Shes now the rfd but is not allowed to post them (post office issue) not the police.

Yes! do get the mags, some of those will be worth a few bob. The BSA and Anchutz should get over £50 each... Good luck

Yes i will remove the mags on them all and i believe the wartime Mossberg MB42s are collectable so the mags and original sights will have a value so intend to remove them as well.

Hi Richo,
Are any of these rifles still available?
I'm interested in the Mossberg.
Arming the Country, one gun at a time.

Good deals with Paul101, Charlotte the flyer, majordisorder, Charlie Muggins, among others. Thanks everybody.
