From what I recall, I would think the whole research requires scrutiny - There' was an awful lot of conclusions drawn from very a small samples. From buying a few pheasants (8) from the local supermarket and dissecting them on a kitchen table and weighing the shot, they deduced that x tons of lead is consumed each year and as we all know, children in Scotland eat game at four times a week it must be bad for them.
I believe the initial research was about Condors in California eating shot deer remains. The main driver of the research here seems to be a chap called Rhys Green, A Cambridge University researcher. I believe the research was commissioned by the royal society for the protection of birds.

When you think about the level of sewage being pumped into our rivers etc. you would think there are more important targets.

so if you shoot steel plates with a shotgun on a range, you will now be banned from using lead, but can use lead in your rifles and pistols?
When guns are outlawed, only Outlaws will have guns

Yes,
On a range that has an approved lead recover program, I think it requires registering with the authorities as well.
Arming the Country, one gun at a time.

Good deals with Paul101, Charlotte the flyer, majordisorder, Charlie Muggins, among others. Thanks everybody.
