Another question regarding Fox firearms do they do re barreling work or is that some thing they are no longer involved with.

I hope this was more tongue in cheek than factual.

Dave you may want to get someone to read this to you: https://britishblindsport.org.uk/az/shooting

Might be a cheaper and more appropriate way forward for you.

Fox Firearms have never done re-barrelling work - they are a shop at Diggle Ranges. However Brian Fox uses a few local gunsmiths if customers want a re-barrel.
But, how about this - Fox have a number of new proofed Ruger Precision barrels in 6mm Creedmoor - get a variation and simply swap it over. They are very reasonably priced - very!

The only problem with that is 6.5 Creedmoor is banned on all MOD ranges. I only have access for full bore on MOD ranges. As per my original post the idea was to re barrel the rifle in .308. If FOX firearms have pre fit barrels in .308 I would buy one. Fox firearms don't seem to have a Web site they just have a page with phone numbers that no one answers.

The brand new proofed Ruger Prescision barrels are 6mm Creedmoor - not 6.5 - so not banned on military ranges - and they are cheap.
The 6mm Creedmoor is a brilliant round out to 1000 yards. I love mine.

Sorry I obviously did not read your post correctly I am definitely in the market for a 6mm if they can be used on MOD ranges. I will try and contact Fox firearms for a price and they are a couple of hours drive away to collect. I like it.
