RCBS Posi-Prime

#1 Post by farmer7 »

Looking for one of the above if anyone has one lying unloved in a corner! Whilst priming the second case last night the handle snapped. I really liked it for priming as I thought it had excellent 'feel'.

It's done alright, got it new in 1996 in my RCBS reloading kit and haven't used anything for priming since.

If anyone has or knows of one for sale I'd appreciate it. I think they're long out of production.

I did the same to mine a few years ago. I emailed RCBS asking where I could get a replacement handle and they sent me a new handle FOC. Unfortunately, a few years later, I broke the new handle squeezing too hard on a tight primer. I felt guilty about emailing RCBS again for my negligence. A friend had one he didn't want any more, so I use that now. I don't use it much as I have other priming tools but still gets occasional use, mainly priming .310 Cadet cases. One popped up on Ebay recently for about £10 so I got that as a spare.
Regards
Peter.
