Another New Member
Hi all,
Just joined your forum on the recommendation of a fellow club member.
Name is Ian, and I am in East Scotland. Member of two clubs in my area.
Rifle wise I love my 1942 Lee Enfield #4 in .303, ex Italian Army and never been fired until I got it. (There's a joke in there somewhere !!! ) ) Also have a Parker Hale in 7.62, and one of these GSG Kalashnikovs in .22.
Also have a great love of the old black powder stuff, with a few pistols and one rifle.
Just about to start casting my own bullets for the black powder guns, and joining the forum in the hope of learning from those with more experience.
Ian

Re: Another New Member
Welcome to the forum Ian, I read about the Italian .303's coming on the market a while ago, did you get one with a matching bolt number as there were reports of thousands going to the USofA in separate containers to the bolts and then never quite getting matched up at the other end.
I will be interested to hear more about your BP Pistols. Post some!

Dromia suggested 100 free posts to the 100th member...seems like a good idea!

Welcome Ian, hope my recommendation lives up to your expectations!
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

Yes, I was ucky bt=y the look of it. My Enfield has matching numbers. I have been surprised at the accuracy, and it will probably get better as she gets worn in a bit. Woodwaork was a bit tatty, but I have managed to pick up some brand new bits on eBay, and some Birchwood Casey finishing gear, so some time in the garage doing the woodwork up is on the cards .... when the weather gets warmer.
Back powder guns .... I have a Ruger Old Army in .45. I managed to get one of the last ones into the UK when they stopped making them. Also a couple of Remingtons, one in .36 and one in .44, a little Uberti Pocket Pistol in .31 and a Le Page duelling pistol. Bought a muzzle loading rifle recently to try out that side of the sport. Just an Ardesa Ranger which was cheap, but it is more fun than I thought it would be so I may get something more posh later.
The member who recommended the forum has warned me not to refer to bullets as "heads ! ) As an "old salt" I will try to stick to the concept that "heads" are where sailors go to pump personal ballast overboard ! The subject came up as he has just delivered 2000 "bullets" to me for the Marlin lever action, which he picked up from Tim Hannam for me.
100th member eh ! Wow ! I knew I would be famous for something some day !
