Sorry to pursue the rabbit a bit further down his hole but I've had an SMLE for about ten years and never knew this! Once I've found the optimum tightness for the screws how do I keep them there? Won't they drift with time. Do I stake them or just mark them in some way.Rearlugs wrote:You can then go back and forth by 1/8 turn in order to find the sweet spot.
