We have a standard approach when found to be in the wrong valley down here....in Merthyr there is a ritual performed only at full moon at 11 at night.
It's called the Meeting of the Heads.

Aye ! It's best to be sure in case one of them has gone off in storage.
I'm a big fan of yon smoky Laphroaig. A wee reindeer told me Santa will be delivering a bottle or two at Christmas.
I've a richt drouth on me the noo, so I'm awa' for a wee dram.
Orra Best,
Ian

My understanding is Laphroaig is best avoided during bad weather so the best thing you can do is box it up and ship it down here to the sunny south, if you use a bicycle to get to the PO it wont even cost you any petrol money.

Thanks for the advice of disosing with my empties (Yes ... that's all you'll get !). Sorry this thread has degenerated (?) into a talk about the Water of Life, but there's not much shooting going on ..... up here anyway ! It's even too damned cold in the garage to go and do some reloading for when the temperature rises again.
We had two shoots booked recently on military ranges. The first was cancelled when the army sentries couldn't manage to get over from Glasgow due to snow (Hint to the Taliban ... if you're going to invade Britain .... if you haven't done so already that is ..... do it when there's a wee bit of snow on the ground. British army disabled by snow).
The nexts one was cancelled too as the army sentries could get here this time, but they would have to stay overnight and the only available accommodation was tents. With about 18 inches of snow on the ground I can't say I blame them this time, and I suspect there would not have been much of a turnout anyway as the foxholes would be full of snow and 18 inches of snow too bloody cold for lying on the ground.
