Hello from Northumberland.

#1 Post by GDR1 »

Just found this site, from a link on another. I'm in my 40s, just finished 22 years in the Army, the last 6 years in Germany. I got my SGC when I was 13 and my FAC back in 1995. With the FAC I started doing targets only then when I went to Germany I did my Jagdschein (German hunting License). Had a great few years shooting deer , boar etc as well as continuing the target shooting. We were lucky to still be able to possess pistols, so I made the most of it knowing I'd have to get rid of mine (CZ75 SP-01 in 9mm) before returning to the UK. Returned to Northumberland August last year, joined a deer syndicate in the Borders and again continued target shooting up here.

Welcome.
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

Gruss Gott,

Herzlich Willkommen !
Germany has such lovely ethics to hunting.
I spent lovely years in the French sector fo RFA (Bodensee)
Leaving Germany and loosing the Cz (I shoot a SP-01 Shadow) in one go ... ouch ... I feel for you .

If you get a chance to go to Northumberland (which I cannot recommend highly enough) make sure you to go Chillingham Castle http://www.chillingham-castle.com/

Difficult to describe but privately owned with piles of fascinating junk everywhere. Knew it was going to be a good visit when I had to climb over a Vickers MG to pay to get in.
