The longest I have tried so far is 600yds, never fired using a sling, when I first bought it, I tried a 'rest' before fitting the bipod, I do however shoot the Nagant using the sling, its a different challenge again.

600 yrds is a good distance for the rifle - my Enfield convertion groups better at 600 than 300 (relitively). Do you use 155 gr bullets?...I've heard that those types of conversion like the 145 grn bullet (there are a few enfield conversion experts on here who could tell you if that's right or not...and a lot more...).

Personally I'd shoot the TR from a sling, and the Nagant from a rest (assuming it's scoped) - But that's only as I like to enter the odd comp for fun...but however you like to shoot, as long as you're enjoying your range-time it's good :good:

Try and stay awake now so as not to hurt his feelings, especially when you read his posts in the jokes section.

I was sat in a restaurant and the chap on the next table got hit on the back of the head by a prawn cocktail.

I looked round and this bloke shouts,

'And that's just for starters.'
