They used to be readily available, but when I tried to get some about a year ago, the only company in UK (I forget who they were) was always 'out of stock' or 'unavailable'

I read an article once about dissolving blackpowder in boiling water, then soaking braided cotton in it and drying it out in the oven, everything went according to plan but it made a very poor and rather slow fuse.
