BRPC are very good, we shot with them for a few years, only down side was lack of long range days however they now have Russ (TackB) of this forum as Chairman plus a restructuring in general so I suspect LR days will be back on the agenda for 2012.

IPSC rifle sounds fun
What were you using ?
Hi there, I was using an ex-Brit military L1A1 with a red dot scope and a muzzle brake.

Thanks guys and gals for the friendly welcome! This looks like a pretty good community/forum to belong to.
I just had a look at Grove Small Arms club and it says the probationary period is 6 months! If that is the case then do I have to wait that long and only then apply for a certificate??.....and only then bring my rifle over Jeez thats a long agonizing wait
I wonder if there is a bit of leeway for existing Firearms owners, anybody know anything about this? I have an Australian Firearms Lic. and a Hungarian one which is also an EU recognised one.
Cheers

Six months? Hmm... I will make a call on it in a bit and see what the club says about existing FAC holders from foreign climes.

Re: Just moved to the UK
6 months is the standard probationary period for most clubs for someone completely new to the sport who isn't an FAC holder, I would think you'd find that time reduced for someone who's already in possesion of one (even if it's from abroad).

Hi
The fastest way to get your guns in is to apply, on the strength of your overseas experience etc, for a Visitors permit. This will cost you £25 and will last for up to a year. Once you have your guns here, you can work on the formalities for a full Certificate. PM or call me for more.
